15 things I’ve never told you about me…
Hey guys, I’d like to share a few fun facts about myself. Here goes…15 things I’ve never told you about me:
1. I’m 39… and not sure how I feel about turning the big FOUR ZERO soon!
2. I’m a mum to an almost four year old gorgeous boy and have a wonderful supportive husband who inspires me to fulfill my passions. We’ve been married almost 5 years and coming up to 10 years together. We live in Sydney, Australia.
3. We have a German Shepherd who’s name is Simba (aka Simbarooni)…she just turned six!
4. Salsa Dancing is a true passion of mine…I started dancing about 10 years ago when a friend convinced me to join her at a salsa dance class one night. I never looked back! It brought me happiness and gave me a purpose. I even met my now husband, David at a Salsa dance club, so how’s that for “meant to be”!
5. I love to cook (when I have the time and don’t need to rush) and David will probably tell you that I have way too many cookbooks and it’s probably true!
6. My “day job” is an Executive Assistant…and I’ve been working with my boss for coming up to 23 years and have known his 20 year old daughter since she was born. Makes me feel slightly old!
7. I never knew what I wanted to be when I “grew up” and I still don’t! All I know is that I’m happy doing what I’m doing and that’s all that matters 🙂
8. When I can find the time, I love to read books…it has to be the real deal though, as there’s just something about the smell of a book and there’s nothing like physically turning the pages!
9. Top of my bucket list is travelling to the Greek Islands….hoping I’ll be able to cross that off the list for my 40th!
10. It’s rare if I get to watch the end of a movie…I always fall asleep!
11. Since having my son, I appreciate my parents so much more…my Mum is the strongest woman I know! Growing up, she always seemed to have it all under control and make it look so easy.
12. I have a brother who lives in Canada with his family. We would love to go back one day to visit them…and maybe this time see Alaska too!
13. My favourite place in the whole world is Queenstown, New Zealand…because the landscape is simply stunning and there’s so much to do! The truth is it was never really a place on my bucket list, but it sure was love at first sight when we arrived! 🙂 If you’d like to read more about Queenstown, click here.
14. Our one rule for travelling is that there always needs to be another trip booked by the time we get back from one!
15. Lastly, this has really been a challenge for me…writing about myself!
